Episode 1:
A round of gunshot had fired inside the townhouse of John Vargas. John's body lay lifeless on the floor as the feet of an unidentified killer tip-toe around the body. With one last check for any signs of life, the killer fled the scene before anyone could discover them. The death of John Vargas was the biggest news story around, especially in the city of Newport. Every newspaper headline read "John Vargas, Business tycoon, found dead." In the city of Newport however, it was more of a relief than a tragedy. John was not the most well liked man in Newport, he had ruled that town for years with an iron fist, two to be more accurate. He managed to own the town through the infinite number of businesses and companies he purchased from the city or started on his own. He made sure everyone feared him and no one worked against him. The few who did, the ones that ran their own successful ventures were considered "thorns" in Johns side and would be taken care of in a proper manner. To the outside world, John was just one more business success to add to the Fortune 500, but the city of Newport knew the truth.
If it had not been the law, no one would have bothered looking for John's killer. He had no family and was certainly hated in his home town but the police knew there was a job to be done. An investigation would have to be opened until the case of who killed John Vargas was solved and a
