Inside the house of the Chandlers, Oldest son Garrett is on the phone planning a town meeting and having his assistant Jackie schedule a news conference. With Garrett and John being much publicized life long enemies, the press was being rather harsh on Mayor Chandlers handling of John Vargas' death. Garrett was being talked about in the press as being uncaring and not sensitive to the situation. Letting his personal hatred for John interfere with his duties as Mayor of Newport. To Garrett, even a dead John can still cause problems in his life. Entering in a quiet manner was Rick, the youngest Chandler sibling, home from college and quite early. He decided to use this to his advantage and try and keep a low profile to buy him time. This would surely allow him a chance to make up some story as to why he had to leave school. This didn't last long as his father Richard, Sister in law Lisa and nephew Thomas came home to find him. Although delighted to see Rick, Richard questioned his early arrival. Rick awkwardly danced his way out of the question and left to his room, to work on an answer for his father. He only hoped no one would call looking for him.
